Phentramin D

Phentramin-d_03Phentramin-d_05Let’s face it, you want to lose weight. You’ve tried everything. You have given up sugars, then you gave up carbohydrates all together. You gave up dairy, then you progressed to giving up meat and a totally vegetarian diet and ate only organic soy products. You ate nothing but homemade cabbage soup for weeks, then you tried the master cleanse with its odd combination of maple syrup and hot sauce. You crunched your abs, spun your legs and toned your arms. You have tried every single thing you have read in books, celebrity magazines and diet blogs and you are through. Maybe Phentramin-D is your magic elixir to bring you to that size two goal you’ve been dreaming of.

Phentramin-D is another weight loss supplement that promises the world and most likely delivers substantially less. Phentramin-D has attempted to disguise its run of the mill, everyday ingredients by using the scientific term for each ingredient instead of the ingredient’s everyday name. This serves to give Phentramin-D some cachet over other, more transparent diet supplements. Phentramin-D markets itself as the safer, over the counter version of Phentermin, an appetite suppressant that works by attacking your central nervous system and throwing it into over drive. It increases your heart rate along with your blood pressure and, in turn, your metabolism all the while decreasing your appetite. Naturally, this is not the best option for weight loss and may leave you feeling anxious and weak. And if you are on any blood pressure medications, it could cause a real problem.

Phentramin-D is manufactured by Lazarus Labs ad they heavily tout their amazing scientific formula that makes the stuff that is Phentramin-D. They also highlight the fact that it is not an herbal supplement, it is just a seriously fast fat burner with quick results. Unfortunately, Phentramin-D two main ultra scientific, super secret, amazingly magical ingredients—1,3,7 Trimethylxanthine and 1,3-Dimethylpentylamine—are nothing more than caffeine and a derivative of geranium oil. Yeah, that’s right—this pill is coffee and flowers. But, don’t let that lead you into thinking it is innocuous enough to use without consulting your primary care physician because, of course, it’s not.

The geranium oil they use to create 1,3-Dimethylpentylamine is also called geranamine and it is a star ingredient in many nasal decongestants. It stimulates the central nervous system, which can suppress your appetite and increase your metabolism. Of course, it can also cause sleeplessness, anxiety, weakness and other nasty side effects. Add to that the fact that there is caffeine in this pill and you have an aggressive recipe for feeling bad.

In short, Phentramin-D is no different than countless other appetite suppressants and weight loss supplements on the market. That they have a similar affect on the central nervous system as Phentermin at a lower cost is most likely true. But that does not mean that it is a healthy way to help you achieve your weight loss goals.

No matter what you decide to try as your next weight loss method—whether it’s Phentramin-D, another diet pill, or a different exercise and eating plan, you need to discuss it with your primary care physician before you begin. You have your own set of dietary needs and aversions, and each diet supplement has its own host of possible complications and negative interactions with your prescription medications or vitamins. Understanding the potential pitfalls of your planned routine and diet supplement before you begin executing them is imperative to ensuring that you do not suffer adverse medical reactions and risk your health for the long term.

In point of fact, Phentramin-d is not ‘coffee and flowers’. While you are correct in stating that 1,3-Dimethylpentylamine can be extracted from geranium oil, our 1,3-Dimethylpentylamine is not an extract but rather is synthetically compounded. According to our product formulator and the head of or main production laboratory, this has resulted in a slightly altered structure that tempers the effect on the CNS which results in a smoother energy flow without the accompanying ‘jittery’ feeling experienced by many users of prescription Phentermine.

You correctly point out that 1,3, 7 Trimethylxanthine is caffeine (pure caffeine) as a cursory Google search will verify. We use the 1,3,7-T nomenclature to distinguish the ingredient from caffeine containing ingredients such as guarana, mateine and theine found in many herbal weight loss products (including some manufactured by Lazarus). In short, the ingredients in Phentramin-d are not coffee and flowers, as caffeine is not a ‘coffee extract’ nor do we extract our 1,3-d from a flower.

… Our philosophy of weight loss coincides with yours in that we strongly believe in the necessity of proper nutrition and proper exercise to effect both long term weight control and overall good health. However, it is undeniable that most people need some help to get started and we feel that Phentramin-d is the best non-prescription alternative available today. I think your customers will agree – and that you will be most pleasantly surprised at the reward of helping people.

Our goal was to create a weight control product that was as close as possible in results and effectiveness to prescription Phentermine, had little or no adverse side effects, and was legal to obtain without a prescription. The result was Phentramin-d, which we feel is the most powerful, yet safest, alternative to prescription weight loss medications on the market today.

The primary ingredients in Phentramin-d are 1,3-dimethylpentylamine and 1,3, 7 trimethylxanthine.

1,3-Dimethylpentylamine aka 1,3-Dimethylamylamine is a sympathomimetic amine, meaning it mimics norepinephrine, causing an increase in cAMP (the chemical messenger that triggers fat release and provides potent appetite suppression and thermogenic action). By affecting the uptake and release of various catecholamines (norepinephrine, epinephrine, and dopamine), 1,3 d can safely promote mental stimulation, mood enhancement and energy production.

We compound the 1,3-Dimethylpentylamine used in Phentramin-d synthetically and test for purity at regular, periodic intervals.

1,3.7 trimethylxanthine is a  competitive inhibitor of the enzyme cAMP (cyclic AMP) phosphodiesterase (cAMP-PDE), which converts cyclic AMP in cells to its noncyclic form, allowing cAMP to build up in cells. Cyclic AMP participates in the messaging cascade produced by cells in response to stimulation by epinephrine, so by blocking its removal, 1,3, 7 T intensifies and prolongs the effects of epinephrine and epinephrine-like drugs such as amphetamine, methamphetamine, or methylphenidate.

In essence, Phentramin-d works by affecting the uptake and release of various catecholamines (norepinephrine, epinephrine, and dopamine) as well as causing an increase in cAMP (cyclic AMP, the chemical messenger that triggers fat release and provides potent appetite suppression and thermogenic action) with the end result being loss of body fat and increase in energy.
