P90X Reviews

p90x_03p90x_05P90X claims that you can literally transform your body in just 90 days.  They claim to use a revolutionary system of 12 sweat inducing, muscle pumping workouts “designed to transform your body from regular to ripped in just 90 days.”  They also give you a diet plan to use along those 90 days for greater success.

Just about everybody is familiar with P90X for the simple reason that there are very few people who don’t watch TV.  There are very few people who don’t want infomercials, and the fact that the 2 creators actually transformed their bodies supposedly using this plan adds to its credibility for many watchers.  It has been around since the 90’s, and yet its popularity continues to grow. This obviously speaks to its efficacy as well and the reasons why we evaluate it.

So where does this leave you?  They use a system called muscle confusion.  It basically means that every time your body is ready to plateau, whenever it gets used to any kind of workout, you are given new moves, which accelerate your weight loss results.  It makes sense.  After all, who hasn’t seen runners and other seemingly serious athletes who nonetheless seem to have extra body fat and they seem to have trouble spots just like the rest of us?  Who hasn’t hit a plateau effect, who hasn’t found themselves frustrated when trying to lose weight?  There are very few if any exceptions to all of this.  This being said, we can see why so many are drawn in.

Moreover, since its somewhat humble beginnings, they have changed things.  P90X has introduced a complimentary diet plan that will help you to maximize your result within the 90 days that you sure their plan.  Many diet pills and exercise plans have started doing this, because after all, it’s more foolproof if they are telling you what to do with every aspect of your weight loss journey.  This way, if you don’t follow their steps, they can blame it on you to some degree.

We don’t have a huge problem with the ideas that P90X is based upon.  Actually, it seems like a descent idea, especially to many American consumers who are all about instant gratification.  If you don’t see results in a few days, let alone in a couple of weeks, most people stop using even the best plans.  So the fact that P90X can give you these fast and short results keeps many consumers going for a longer period of time.

The problem is what happens afterward.  P90X has always capitalized on the idea of transforming your body in 90 days.  They’ve never actually developed a plan for after the 90 days.  They base literally everything on 90 days at the expense of real and lasting results.  They never actually developed a plan for your workouts to keep up the results you’ve achieved or for that matter a long term diet plan, especially if you need to lose more weight.

The reality is that P90X isn’t exactly the ideal plan.  Yes, it does work in those 90 days, there’s no denying that, especially considering all the consumer reviews.  The problem is the long term.  For any good diet plan, yes you need a long term plan.  It has to be a complete lifestyle change, or else you are going to do more harm than good.  P90X is not a lifestyle change.  And frankly, while it can evolve and we hope it does, it seems that they have not yet reached that point of growth at this time.
