Okuma Wu Long Tea Reviews

With Okuma Wu Long Tea, if you buy 3 you can get one free. I’m relatively sure I have seen this tea in my local Asian markets, or at least something like it. They use oolong tea, which of course is the most potent and fermented in terms of actually caffeine content of the same tea leaf, and in some ways I believe it to be more powerful not necessarily in antioxidants, but in weight loss as compared to green tea for example. But of course that is just speculation on my part.

This said, they talk about it melting away fat like magic, helping you to enjoy greater health, clearer skin, increased energy levels, and greater fat loss in general. You can just drink your fat away, and apparently Oprah “swears by it.”

Don’t get me wrong. I love Oprah. But Oprah is the biggest perpetrator of fad ideas. Yes, she did train with a trainer, and I was quite proud of her for one. But one could say that Oprah swears by EVERYTHING! She swears by hoodia, which has actually been proven to produce nothing more than a possible placebo effect.

So this in mind, oolong tea has been proven to have some weight loss benefits pending of course the idea that you are actually getting the caffeine content. There are some that say it might be potentially more harmful than green tea. But it has the same antioxidants, and for me at least, I’ve bought the grocery store brands because I’m cheap, and it worked better than green tea from the same grocery stores.

Now I do believe that this kind of product could work. After all, oolong tea has been shown to have certain benefits. But I have typically drunk about 8 cups per day of oolong tea when I was looking to lose weight. Sometimes, I’ve drunk 10, and in the hot variety, it also raises body temperatures, which effectively induces a certain amount more fat burning unless of course you are just sweating it out.

But there is a big difference between say the oolong tea I use and the oolong tea you find in this “wu long tea.” First of all, I hate when they use that form of the name, it’s just tacky. But that’s not a huge problem in terms of weight loss. The problem is that while you’re getting both water, the heat of the tea, and of course the tea’s benefits when you drink it from the grocery store, you are getting very little of this from Okuma Wu Long Tea.

Depending on the strength I am getting in terms of the weight loss, I would probably get anywhere form 500mg-1000mg pending the idea that I’m drinking 10 cups per day, 400-800 if I’m drinking 8. That’s about the amount you should be getting really. In this supplement, you are probably getting no more than 100mg, if even that. That is not actually going to be effective considering experts want you to drink 8 cups per day or more.

My other problem with this wu long tea is the price. I pay typically speaking about $2-$5 per box of my tea bags in the grocery store depending on the brand. They charge about $40 for the same size of box! I mean there is a clear and ridiculous difference in pricing between the two to say the least. It’s simple math. I’m not paying more when I can pay less.
