Natural appetite suppressants
There are many natural appetite suppressants that can be utilized by people who are trying to either lose weight or maintain their weight once they have achieved their goals. Fiber supplements can be added to the diet to help keep the appetite under control if the diet is not rich in high fiber foods. It is extremely important that breakfast is eaten each day as that starts off the bodies metabolism for the day. Eating high fiber foods at this meal will start the day off right and allow a person to feel full for the better part of the morning.
Coffee and teas are good appetite suppressants as they all contain caffeine. These should be taken after the meal has been eaten and when they are consumed they should not be loaded down with creamer or real sugar. Sugar substitutes and non dairy creamers can be used without any problems.
Green tea is another excellent natural appetite suppressant. It has some wonderful antioxidant qualities in it as well. Drinking three to four cups of green tea every day after meals will help to keep you feeling full and satisfied. This will also give you a good energy boost as well as help you be able to eat less and feel good about it.
Apple cider vinegar is another natural appetite suppressant that can be used. The recommended amount to use is one teaspoon 30 minutes before meals are eaten. This needs to be followed by a glass of water as the vinegar can be corrosive to the enamel on the teeth if it is left on them for any length of time. If a person cannot tolerate the taste of the vinegar, it can be added to salad dressing or there are apple cider vinegar tablets that can be purchased that will give the same results.
Green leafy vegetables are full of fiber. Eating a good sized bowl of salad with low calorie salad dressing can give you the equivalent of a fiber supplement. Look for other vegetables and fruits that are high in fiber and add them to the daily diet. This can give a person all the fiber that they need and it should leave them feeling satisfied and feeling full for some time after eating meals.
Here is one of everyone’s favorite appetite suppressants. Dark chocolate is a natural appetite suppressant as well. Be sure and check the sugar content of the chocolate before eating it. Some will be lower in sugar than others. Choose the ones that are the lowest in sugar and the recommended amount is a square about an inch long of chocolate three to four times a day.
There are many ways that a person can keep their appetite from going out of control. It is good to have several of these things on hand. The best way to keep yourself healthy, happy and satisfied is to eat a healthy diet that is high in fiber, lean meat, fruits and vegetables and low in fats.
