Master Cleanse Reviews

This is one we find interesting for the precise reason that you can use the Master Cleanse in the comfort of your own home.  The interesting thing is that L Ron Hubbard really jumped on the cleansing bandwagon before the rest of us.  Granted, he thought that he would help you to cleanse “alien spirits” from the body, which we find vastly entertaining.  But realistically speaking, he did have a point.  You should cleanse your body.  Now we think that you should cleanse your body of toxins, not aliens.  But if it works, it works.  And by the way, the reason we bring him up is that L Rob Hubbard, the leader of scientology and science fiction writer by the way convicted of multiple counts of fraud at one time or another, is the one that actually came up with this particular cleanse.

Now the interesting thing is that he didn’t make any money off of it.  So that’s not a bad thing.  The motivator would have been something else besides money.  After all, people could make it themselves, and they do.  When it was first introduced, the sale of maple syrup actually went significantly up.  After all, it is a mix of lemonade, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper.  That’s all you actually drink for however many days.  So obviously speaking, without the consumption of food, you obviously lose weight.

Now let’s start on a good note.  Maple syrup is one of those things packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and essential nutrients in general.  So while we’re not sure that he actually had this in mind when designing it or even knew what he was talking about in general, it does supplement the body’s needs. You are obviously not getting the vitamins you need from food.  So you have to get them from somewhere, and he mixes that in there.

Second, he uses lemon juice.  Lemon juice, and he did mean from real lemons, not the sugared down version of lemonade that you often use, is actually full of antioxidants.  If you use lemon juice on your face, you can actually clear away some cases of acne and give your skin a certain glow.  However, in terms of cleansing, it doesn’t actually have any cleansing benefits interestingly enough.

And finally, we get to cayenne pepper.  This element that you can find in your kitchen cupboard if you like that particular spiciness, is actually rich in a component called capsaicin.  In certain amounts, capsaicin can actually burn more fat and give you a caffeine free thermogenic effect throughout the body.  However, while it has this particular effect, it does not have a cleansing effect.

So obviously, the late L Rob Hubbard didn’t quite have the insight that followers like to believe he did.  He was a science fiction writer who liked to commit fraud, and realistically speaking, while he was on the right track with the idea of cleansing, he missed the boat when it came to actually designing a system that would work.  Now there are plenty of products that sell out there calling themselves a version of the “Master Cleanse” and adding acai or something.  But they never add actual cleansing ingredients.
