Epiduo Reviews

Epiduo claims that you will be able to clear your acne, because they mainly advertise by perpetuating the myth that only prescriptions can actually properly treat acne, because of course acne is a “medical condition” as they put it.  They claim that Epiduo is the ultimate formula that will fill all your needs, and reportedly speaking, it has the strongest ingredients while making you pay no more than $20 on your Epiduo prescription.

So how does it actually work?  Well first of all, we’d like to stress why the idea they’re perpetuating is a myth.  The simple fact is that actually, there are quite a few ingredients that are clinically proven, and they’re not just found in prescriptions.  In fact, some of them are specifically not found in prescriptions.  But they are more powerful.  The only ingredients you will really find in prescriptions are based on vitamin A or benzoyl peroxide for the most part, the two most common ingredients also found in over the counter treatments in the exact same amounts.  So all in all, obviously, the myth doesn’t really apply.

But this in mind, their first ingredient is 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.  That is literally speaking the weakest amount of benzoyl peroxide you can really get away with.  There are non prescription options out there that actually double that, and they would therefore logically speaking get better results.  And frankly speaking, we’re not sure they’ll get any results, even though that amount is technically speaking clinically proven.

Then they combine it with a form of vitamin A as you might suspect known as adapalene, also found in other prescription medications.  Interestingly enough, and this is almost the same formula as Acne Free Severe, experts actually recommend that you do not combine these two types of ingredients as they often cause more side effects and more severe side effects in general terms.  So obviously, it’s not one to choose.

Epiduo is likely to cause side effects such as feeling of warmth, dryness, feeling of warmth, itching, irritation, mild peeling, redness, swelling of the skin, and dermatitis, though they are certainly not limited to this keep in mind.  So it wouldn’t actually be unusual to experience more side effects than this.  But this in mind, haven’t you already suffered side effects using other similar products that use the same amount of benzoyl peroxide alone, let alone a type of vitamin A.

We would not recommend Epiduo.  It doesn’t have the right stuff, and realistically speaking, it really doesn’t give you anything out of the ordinary to say the least.  Epiduo is not the formula that will actually alleviate your acne once and for all, only really scratching at the surface, and you could get the same over the counter treatment for a cheaper price or even a better over the counter product again for a cheaper price.
