Ephedra-5 Reviews

Created by Viridis Laboratories, Ephedra-5 is most commonly sold on sites such as eVitamins, in other words popular third party retailers with various mechanisms of action.  They claim that it uses ephedra to burn fat and otherwise get the weight loss results that you are looking for.  And of course, they apparently provide you with the best formulation of ephedra with caffeine, basically trying to copy the formerly popular product known as ECA Stack.  The question is, do they actually succeed?

We cannot stress enough how dangerous ephedra is.  Ephedra has been known to cause death among other obviously serious side effects.  Now they explain this way by saying, “we don’t use ephedra alkaloids.”

But realistically speaking, ephedra alkaloids are the ingredients that actually contributed to weight loss in the first place!  It’s like saying we use green tea to promote weight loss, but oh we don’t use caffeine, which is actually the element that promotes the weight loss in the first place.

So if what they’re saying is actually true, well there are several parts to this.  First of all, they banned all types of ephedra, not just one or for that matter ephedra alkaloids.  They banned them for a reason, they are dangerous! But outside of that, there is the fact that realistically speaking, even if they used the effective ephedra alkaloids, you are only legally allowed to use about 30mg.  To produce results, people use 250mg!  So obviously, that creates a serious problem to say the least.

Outside of that, they have ingredients like caffeine anhydrous and green tea.  We were actually surprised that they didn’t try using “caffeine free” caffeine or green tea.  That would have been entertaining.  But this being said, they use a 500mg proprietary blend to cover those two ingredients mixed with 3 other ingredients that do not promote weight loss. Green tea alone requires at least 400mg of 50% caffeine.  They don’t use 50% caffeine and obviously they don’t use 400mg of green tea.

Caffeine likewise requires at least 400mg to promote actual weight loss and real results in general terms.  So obviously speaking, there is no way that they are going to get the right amounts of either of these ingredients, let alone both of them.  More likely, they use maybe 100mg of each, definitely not what one would need to actually see results.

We would not recommend using Ephedra-5.  It does not promote weight loss, and it’s a poor excuse for a weight loss supplement in general.  There are no real weight loss ingredients, at least not in the right amounts, and realistically speaking, there are so much better options in general. So it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to try them out instead.
