Eating green food to lose weight
The many bits of information that one can get about losing weight can be very overwhelming, that it can be very difficult to identify which one actually works and which one does not. The fat cells of the body hold onto such acid as their protective mechanism because the acid in the vital organs can be dangerous. Thus, the capability to burn fat is connected to the acid-alkaline balance of the body. A person who is acidic will find it difficult to lose fat. The body requires fats to hold onto the acid. When the acid decreases, the fat soon follows suit.
Thus, you should ask yourself if foods promoted in high protein diets and other weight loss plans are alkaline forming or acidic in the body. For example, all animal products like eggs, dairy, and meat are acid forming. This goes for grains as well as refined sugars.
Studies have long suggested that an ideal diet must be composed of 80% alkaline and the other 20% of acid. But this is exactly the opposite of the typical Western diets which is typically made of refined, processed, and high fat foods. This explains why obesity is a major concern in Western societies.
Some of the foods that are alkaline forming are fruits and vegetables. These foods are rich in alkalizing minerals like iron, potassium, calcium, and magnesium while having low concentrations of acidic properties like nitrogen and sulfur.
Green foods like vegetables, grasses, and sea vegetables are good sources of alkalinity. Any diet that is rich in green food not only helps in the prevention of disease but also helps in promoting a leaner frame.
Alkalizing your body requires eating healthy foods and results to you losing significant number of pounds. Some of the best ways you can do in alkalizing your body to result into optimal fat loss and excellent heath are consuming more vegetables and fruits and getting a lot of green food. One should take at least a juice or salad every day.
Drinking lots of water can also help. Drinking at least half of the body weight in pounds every day is a lot of help. Also, breathing is important. Take a couple of minutes in a day to focus on deep breathing. Taking oxygen is alkalizing. Lastly, avoid eating artificial sweeteners, processed foods, and nutrient-devoid drinks such as sodas and coffee.
