Adipex Reviews

Adipex is a prescription diet pill otherwise known as Phentermine.  They claim that it uses amphetamine grade ingredients to suppress your appetite and otherwise quickly lose weight with diet and exercise counseling and adjustments.  It is only to be prescribed by your doctor, and with Adipex, you get a 37.5mg dosage, which is the largest allowable dosage in general.

It is FDA approved since about 1959, and that was after one major study conducted on its apparent weight loss benefits.  Adipex is currently the most popular form of Phentermine, even attracting some imitators of its own.  It is mostly sold in the United States.

The only ingredient in Adipex is Phentermine.  Phentermine is an amphetamine grade ingredient, meaning it stimulates the central nervous system and therefore suppresses appetite.  This being said, it is quite effective, and especially in this high dosage, plenty of people have gotten a head start on their road to ultimate weight loss success.

Unfortunately, it’s just a jump start.  Adipex in any dose stops working after a few weeks.  You should never start taking more or otherwise, partly because this is the largest dose and partly because a larger dose will not actually help you to lose more weight or for that matter start losing weight alone.

And unfortunately, it also comes with quite a few side effects.  It can be extremely addictive, being similar to amphetamines, and if you continue to use it after it stops working, it can cause sudden and severe weight gain.  This being said, more common side effects could include insomnia, rapid heartbeat, or other side effects common to caffeine.  However, some have also experienced high blood pressure, severe depression, etc.

The reality is that while Adipex is extremely effective, and there’s really no denying that, it comes with a cost.  It is not appropriate basically if you have any medical condition at all, and in extremes, it can obviously be quite dangerous.  It is not meant for most users in fact, especially those who are obese and have related conditions.

There are plenty of alternatives to Adipex.  Not all of them work and some come with similar side effects.  However, there are certainly some that last longer, come without side effects, and quite frankly give you a real chance at real and lasting weight loss.
