Accomplix

It seems like everybody wants to be the “new approach to weight loss” these days.  But have you noticed that the “new approaches” always seem to use the same old ingredients in the same old small and insufficient amounts?  Starting out with this, it doesn’t seem like we’re giving Accomplix a fair chance.  But we are.  We’re just pointing out the fact that the marketing ploy they chose happens to be coupled with this pattern of action A LOT!

This being said, Accomplix claims to give you clinically proven and prescription grade results.  That could of course mean a number of things.  It could mean that it gives you amazing results like Phentermine or ridiculous side effects that are in some cases even quite dangerous like Phentermine.  It could mean that it eliminates fat and makes you poop your pants quite regularly like Alli, and frankly speaking, when you do that as an adult, people tend to come up with nice little nicknames for you that stick for life, no matter the reason.  One such example would be “oopsie bear.”  If they like you, it’s affectionate.  But if they don’t….well you just got the nasty prescription side effects without any benefits.

This being said, it comes down to the question of how does Accomplix work?  Apparently they have “world class ingredients.”  And apparently, their definition of “world class” varies to quite an extreme from ours.  They think hoodia is a phenomenon after all.  We didn’t catch the Oprah episode where she talked about hoodia.  But frankly, her team of researchers needs to be reformulated.  They don’t research or at least they don’t research legitimate sources!  Not only can you not get hoodia outside of South Africa.  It has been proven in every legitimate study not to suppress appetite or give any other known benefits!  There was a company trying to patent a form of it.  But they failed time after time, because you can’t really patent and effective weight loss supplement out of an ingredient that doesn’t work in the first place.  This being said, they ran out of funding and were shut down.  But scientists that did work for them before have not hesitated to make remarks about the possible liver damage associated with real hoodia.

Outside of that, they use an ingredient called banaba leaf extract.  Yes, this does work.  We’ll admit that banaba leaf is able to promote gradual weight loss in the right amounts.  But it’s very gradual, and frankly speaking that would be because of the fact that it controls blood sugar levels.  They say that it can work for diabetics.  But really, we would caution against any natural supplement claiming to go so far as to control a medical condition, especially one so potentially dangerous.  This being said, we think that it would control blood sugar levels for a person whose blood sugar levels are basically healthy anyway.

Now they do use a couple ingredients we like.  They use citrus aurantium and green tea.  We couple these, because they both depend in part on a caffeine like mechanism of action to speed up fat burning and metabolism.  That being said, in the right amounts, they do work.  With citrus aurantium, it’s usually about 250mg and 400mg with green tea.  However, with a 1472mg proprietary blend to supposedly cover all their ingredients, it’s not likely.  It is however likely to cause caffeine related side effects, especially for those that are sensitive to caffeine.  We should add that the reason why citrus aurantium has been so popular is because it has been introduced as a cousin and alternative to ephedra without the side effects.  Of course, we like to see extensive research, which green tea has to say the least.  But still, we like the idea of citrus aurantium to some degree.

They also have guggulsterones.  We LOVE and hate guggulsterones at the same time.  On one hand, they do promote lean muscle mass and otherwise, and frankly lean muscle mass defines your body, burns more fat, increases metabolism, it’s all around a good thing and you should never lose muscle mass if you can help it unless you’re toning down as an athlete or something to be more quick and efficient.  But we hate it, because it’s just so complicated to get.  There is a patented form known as GuggulEZ100, which we have no qualms about endorsing.  But the reality is that when they claim to use plain guggulsterones, you never know what you’re getting.  There are two types of guggulsterones, and only the dark type works.  But unfortunately, the dark type is much more expensive, and the likelihood of getting that, especially in cheap products, is nil.

Their other ingredients are completely useless, hence why we couple them.  Magnolia bark is a sleep aid.  You do not lose weight with sleep aids.  One hour of sleep makes a huge difference in body composition yes over the long run.  But when you take Ambien, Lunesta, or other prescription sleep aids, you typically do not lose weight.  Likewise, the same applies with natural sleep aids.  And with guarana, while it’s supposed to be the caffeine free stimulant.  But without damiana and yerba mate, interestingly enough, these are the only 3 ingredients that do not promote weight loss on their own, AT ALL!

We would not recommend using Accomplix.  We hope you have read through this entire review.  But if you just skipped to the end, we completely understand.  We might do the same thing.  This being said, we’ll sum it all up for you.  Accomplix uses some of the right ingredients, but in extremely small amounts that don’t actually promote weight loss.  Most of their ingredients don’t promote weight loss at all.  So when combining all of this, YOU DO NOT GET WEIGHT LOSS RESULTS.  Sad day, right?  Anyway, you overpay to say the least, and for this price, you could definitely find something better.
