Acai Berry Select Reviews

Acai Berry Select is one of those flashy websites you see with every single acai product on the market! In some ways, I would swear that they all copy each other replicating the same site with different product pictures, meaning that they picture a different bottle and change the product name throughout the site.  Anyway, they claim that it naturally increases metabolism, increases fat oxidation, boosts energy, and contains powerful antioxidants.

So here’s a little cleanser 101 for you.  A cleansing product will cleanse the body, the metabolism will increase over time because there are no toxins holding it back, energy will improve, skin will improve, etc, and this is all of course assuming that they have created a cleansing agent that actually works.  But to burn fat or increase fat oxidation, you have to have all together and entirely different ingredients.  You can combine them into the same formula.  But you have to differentiate the two types.

Second, ACAI DOES NOT BURN FAT OR CLEANSE THE BODY! Anybody who tells you otherwise is lying to you!  Acai was named as one of the top 10 superfoods, it was never named as the #1 superfood, in part because to be honest, Dr Perricone was wrong.  *Gasp* I know, I said it.  Perricone was wrong.  Acai is rich in vitamins, good fatty acids, and antioxidants.  But so is an avocado.  Frankly speaking, blueberries have a higher ORAC/antioxidant value, and many fruits have higher levels in general of certain essential vitamins.  The only reason we care about acai is because it rots too fast to be exported from Brazil in fresh form.

This in mind, they all list the same media citations.  They all talk about Oprah, CBS, Wall Street Journal, and ABC.  They all talk about how all of these big news stations must be right.  But have you ever noticed?  They aren’t talking about this particular product! That in mind, it should also be known that most of these news stations don’t do their own research.  They don’t know what they’re talking about.  Some researcher, maybe within their walls or maybe a researcher from a company trying to sell a similar product, researched acai and told them what they wanted them to hear, and from there they passed that information, whether right or wrong, onto you. The kicker however is the fact that if you read over their quotes from these sources, you will see that there are no quotations about weight loss, no quotations about cleansing, only quotations about the fatty acid content, the vitamins, and the antioxidants.

The final thing I want to touch on when it comes to Acai Berry Select is the fact that they use what’s called a “free trial offer.” This means several things.  First and foremost, it means that they are going to charge you a bunch of money at the end of 14 days, and that 14 days starts the day you order.  So basically you get about 7 days once you actually receive the product.  It also means that it’s going to be extremely expensive, and you will not be able to cancel it without cancelling your credit card.  All in all, it means you are going to get ripped off on something that doesn’t work.

Now, to their credit, they do prove themselves the exception on one point. They do provide a full ingredients list, even including amounts.  Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean anything as far as your greater results.  They use around 200mg caffeine and 200mg green tea.  You would actually need at least 400mg of each to promote weight loss results, and there are no cleansing ingredients at all whatsoever.  So realistically speaking, this doesn’t really help them.  It may even hurt them to some degree.

As you can see, Acai Berry Select is not something I would ever recommend.  It has proven itself one step above or at least seemingly above the competition in the fact that they actually reveal all of their ingredients.  But it doesn’t help that much considering the fact that they still lack the proven ingredients and the proven amounts they would need to see results, which is ultimately speaking the bottom line.
